I bought this book a few months ago with no chance to read it. I will now begin. The Author, Bruce Judson, plays a twist on Lewis Sinclairs 1935 book title, It can’t happen here, which is a semi-satirical American political novel.
From the back of the book: “Bruce Judson’s It Could Heappen Here demonstrates that we are in unchartered waters for American Democracy. The Middle Class is scared, and it should be. In effect, we are conducting an enormous social and political experiment – something like putting a pressure cooker on the stove over a full flame and waiting to see how long it takes to explode” -Lester Thurow
Looks to be my kind of read. Will reply soon with a recap.
